Shares of Advanced Cell Technology are up more than 30 percent this year – although they are down more than 20 percent over the last month. Stargardt's disease or Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that causes progressive vision loss, usually starting in children between 10 to 20 years of age.
